All About Me
Though born a Windsor native, Stephanie currently resides in Hamilton, Ontario, where her journey within the child and youth care field continues. Since graduating from the Child and Youth Care program at Toronto’s Ryerson University in 2011, Stephanie has been involved with the care and education of vulnerable children and youth, striving to help many to overcome complex emotional and intellectual challenges.
With her first children’s book ‘Buckle Up’ and others in the works, she hopes to provide an outlet for readers to communicate their needs, gain coping tools, and learn skills and approaches that will benefit their growth and development.

Being a Child and Youth Counsellor, Stephanie has served children and youth with various needs stemming from diagnoses including Down Syndrome, Autism, Anxiety, Depression, Cerebral Palsy, Suicidal, Epilepsy, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, Intellectual Disabilities, Encephalitis Anti-NMDA, Traumatic Brain Injury, William’s Syndrome, Congential Myasthentic Syndrome, Severe Hydranencephaly, Lennox-Gestaut Syndrome, eating disorders, medical fragility, and more. Additionally, Stephanie has crafted many programs which touch upon topics of social skills, anger, self-esteem and coordination, while also providing behavioral support within schools, foster homes, group homes, residential homes, community centers, and hospitals such as The Hospital for Sick Children.

When Stephanie is not working, she enjoys travelling, experiencing new restaurants, exploring new activities, do-it-yourself crafting, meditating, reading, hiking, drafting book ideas, and listening to music. She also loves spending time with her family and friends who bring light, love, and laughter into her life, motivating her to be the best that she can be.
